EAU TODAY

The purpose of the Engineering Academy today is: to unite the efforts of scientists and engineers of Ukraine, enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership to build up intellectual potential in the field of engineering; organization of the most important and promising research and development, as well as promoting the creation based on the achievements of the fundamental sciences of fundamentally new types technicians, technology of materials that are of great economic importance and ensure the acceleration of scientific and technological progress in key areas of economic development, based on the achievements of the fundamental sciences.

The Academy has the status of a non-profit organization and operates on the basis of public self-government and independence in organizing research, scientific and technical developments and areas of scientific research.

The current tasks of the EAU are: forecasting and determining the priority directions for the development of the scientific and technical potential of Ukraine, the development of proposals for its modernization; ensuring high competitiveness of engineering developments.

For the successful implementation of the aforementioned goals and statutory tasks, the EAU determines the following topical areas of its activities:

Among the priority areas of activity of the EAU:

1. informatization of society using modern information technologies;
2. development of information control and social protection systems;
3. engineering systems to ensure biological, environmental, climatic and food security in natural and man-made emergencies;
4. industrial application of nanotechnology and nanomaterials;
5. development of modern automated systems for the rational use of natural resources, the development of agrobiologization, agricultural production and food processing of traditional and organic farming;
6. creation of modern engineering tools for diagnostics, prevention, treatment, modeling, forecasting and overcoming the consequences of bacterial and viral pandemics.

Among the members of the academy since its inception: 

The Academy tirelessly develops ties with foreign scientific and engineering teams. Today, the EAU has 33 foreign members of the Academy from 16 countries.

            The EAU takes an active position not only in matters of technological development of the country, but also in the work to preserve engineering education in Ukraine. More than a quarter of the EAU members work directly in the field of vocational education.

The academy has 21 scientific and technical sections and 23 regional departments, conduct research activities, 5 own institutes and centers.

EAU is an associated member of the Federation of Scientists of Ukraine and the International Engineering Academy, which includes scientists and specialists from 40 countries of the world.

Members of the EAU have developed about 1.2 thousand new technologies, published more than 700 monographs, received over two thousand patents.

The Engineering Academy of Ukraine is always open for cooperation with all creative organizations and individuals.
